The University Campus 1 provides students with access to 18 buildings with a total surface of approximately 56.000 m2. The University also accommodates its own Library, with 6 study halls, 429 seats and a book stock of over 275.000 volumes, its own publishing and printing house that provides copies of the lab guides, textbooks and other teaching materials that are needed to support the higher education teaching process.
Among the facilities provided by USV to its students, mention could be made of the following: the Swimming and Kinetotherapy Centre, than encompasses the swimming pool, locker rooms, physical training halls, teachers’ offices, purpose-built physiotherapy centres; the modern University Restaurant, that provides meals for 1200-1400 visitors daily; the Joseph Schmidt Auditorium , that can accommodate 240 people and is specifically designed for cultural events; the artificial turf sports ground, surrounded by a running track and encompassing a surface of 2.400 m2, covered with a pressostatic balloon and purpose built for sports matches; modern gymnasium; the Sipotel Hunting Lodge, that covers a total area of 928 square meters and has multiple-purpose capacities: boarding rooms, lecture hall that can accommodate 30 participants, offices, dining hall, laundry room; the Gălăneşti teaching facility – for the practical training of students; the Lifelong Training Centre in Vatra Dornei, which provides adequate accommodation and teaching facilities; Auditorium Joseph Schmidt, students’ club, as well as an Astronomical Observatory. Students and academic staff alike can be accommodated in the university residence halls that hold a capacity of 1.050 places, distributed in the 4 student dormitories.
